On April 28, 2023, Mason Korea hosted one of its largest annual events to promote and spread the Mason spirit on-campus.
Student Government members worked hard on and off-stage to prepare and organize not only the event itself, but also running its very own booth. We held various activities for students to take part in, such as Mason-themed tattoo stickers accompanied with jegichagi (제기차기) or magazine-guessing games, and an anonymous “Message in a Box” event.
Personally, I had the honor of hosting the event as its Master of Ceremonies (MC) alongside three members from the Patriot Activities Council (PAC). The PAC and Office of University Life really did work day and night to make the event enjoyable for everyone, and I sincerely do thank them for organizing and hosting the biggest Mason Day we’ve ever had alongside Student Government.
I also have to talk about the great performances that we got to see - individual performances, talented student / faculty groups, and of course, guest performances such as that by Stella Jang. Hearing some of the songs that you would hear on TV or YouTube in-person was definitely an experience like no other.
