Mason Korea representation in the Fairfax campus is something that I personally have always been interested in and wanted to advocate for - thankfully, as an initiative started by Student Government (or back when it was called Student Council) last year, we had a chance to connect and network with our counterparts in the Fairfax campus and discuss the addition of a liaison within their Student Government.
As such, we met virtually with Student Body Vice President Celine Apenteng to discuss how such a position will be implemented (and discussed), in addition to our transition to Student Government. I thank everyone from Mason Korea Student Government who were able to join us during this meeting which was held on a very early time in the morning.
This meeting was insightful and meaningful in many ways, not only for Fairfax Student Government, but for us in representing our very own Study Abroad or Global Gateway students here in Mason Korea as well. What can we do on our side to support and represent all parties in the student body? With our transition to Student Government officially happening this semester and the rewriting of our governing documents (that is, the Charter for now), Iām incredibly excited to see what the future holds for us.
